Welcome to all new 5 seater 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS.
The first Mercedes CLS which came in the year 2006 was undoubtedly the best looking car Mercedes had ever built. Then the second generation CLS showed up in 2012 with a more controversial design that reinvigorated sagging sales. Now for the upcoming years the all new 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS is ready to be launched. But what all is different from the ongoing CLS ? Lets find out.
Talking about the front, Mercedes has given the CLS a newer and more aggressive looking grill and which is something typical Mercedes. The headlights meanwhile get their own unique design. At the moment, they help the CLS stand out, but let us tell me they look very much similar to the A Class prototypes we’ve seen testing around but we’re not confirmed about the same. Still, the front end of the new CLS is a lot cleaner and less busy than before.
In general Mercedes, for its new 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS decided to get more inspiration from the first generation rather than the second generation CLS. The aggressively flared rear fenders and sharp creases of the 2012 version are gone, replaced with smooth, flowing lines. Out back, Mercedes gave the CLS new taillights that help the rear end look less droopy. The placement for the license plate is also lower than what it was before.
The biggest change we could find inside was at the back seat, finally after almost 11 years as a four seater, the upcoming CLS is now offering sitting for five. If you’ll compare this with the current E-Class, you won’t find any day-night difference between them. But considering how stylish and luxurious the current E-Class is, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Compared to the previous CLS, the new CLS’s interior is much more cleaner, with fewer buttons cluttering the dash.
Pricing is yet to be announced, but the 2019 CLS is expected to arrive in U.S. dealers sometime near upcoming fall. It will come in both rear and all-wheel-drive configurations, first as the CLS450 and later in AMG tuned CLS53 form.
